Engineer - Quality Control

Onsite | Vasai East | Full time
Exp: 1 -2 years

Requirements

  • 1 – 2 years of experience in a quality-focused role within manufacturing or industrial equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality standards such as API 598, API 600, API 609, API 6D, and API Q1.
  • Familiarity with ISO documentation practices and compliance processes.
  • Hands-on experience with engineering drawings, measurement tools (calipers, micrometers), and inspection methods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital record-keeping tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and document quality inspections and tests across incoming material, in-process, and final stages — including hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing per API 598.
  • Assist the machine shop with in-process material inspection to ensure dimensional and specification compliance at each stage.
  • Verify incoming raw materials against Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) and maintain material traceability through production.
  • Track non-conformances, corrective actions, and preventive measures to closure.
  • Coordinate with TPI agencies, clients, and vendors on quality requirements, witness inspections, and documentation; visit vendor facilities for inspection and qualification as required.
  • Maintain QA documentation including drawing approvals, calibration records, audit trails, and test reports in compliance with ISO, API, and internal standards.
  • Compile and share quality reports and inspection summaries with management and project stakeholders in a timely manner.

Preferences

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Production Engineering or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in the industrial valve, process equipment, or related industry.
  • Hands-on exposure to manufacturing systems, QMS, and internal documentation control.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in B2B sales, customer-facing coordination, or back-office sales support in a manufacturing/industrial environment — candidates should be comfortable owning both the customer-facing and documentation side of the sales cycle.
  • Strong ownership and prioritization skills — able to juggle enquiry handling, proposal drafting, and follow-up without close supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internet research.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular follow-up with existing and prospective customers, respond to inbound inquiries promptly, and ensure continuity of communication across the sales cycle.

  • Maintain and update customer records, enquiry logs, quotation logs, and follow-up schedules proactively.
  • Liaise with clients, government authorities, and channel partners as required.

  • Organize and maintain drawing files, revision logs, and BOM (Bill of Materials) records for the Design & Development department.
  • Track drawing approval status, revisions, and issue-for-production sign-off, and update relevant stakeholders.
  • Log and route incoming design requests from sales/back office, and follow up on turnaround.
  • Maintain document control — version numbering, archival, and traceability of design files per ISO requirements.
  • Coordinate with production and QC to confirm the correct approved drawing revision is in use on the shop floor.
