Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a procurement or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Raise and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies in line with production requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new vendors; maintain and develop existing vendor relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Conduct market research to assess and select suppliers offering high-quality products at competitive prices.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure material specifications, quantities, and timelines are accurately communicated to vendors.
  • Track open purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, and escalate delays proactively to the reporting authority.
  • Support incoming material inspection coordination with the quality team and ensure MTCs and compliance documents are received with each delivery.
  • Maintain procurement records including POs, vendor documents, quotations, and delivery challans in an organized and auditable manner.
  • Monitor vendor performance on quality, delivery, and responsiveness; flag non-performers and suggest alternatives.

  • Plan, execute, and document quality inspections and tests across incoming material, in-process, and final stages — including hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing per API 598.
  • Assist the machine shop with in-process material inspection to ensure dimensional and specification compliance at each stage.
  • Verify incoming raw materials against Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) and maintain material traceability through production.
  • Track non-conformances, corrective actions, and preventive measures to closure.
  • Coordinate with TPI agencies, clients, and vendors on quality requirements, witness inspections, and documentation; visit vendor facilities for inspection and qualification as required.
  • Maintain QA documentation including drawing approvals, calibration records, audit trails, and test reports in compliance with ISO, API, and internal standards.
